Why people bring clothes inside before dark?

Some areas get humid at night and this moisture will collect on the clothes and give them a mildew smell. Also women need to be completely done with laundry before dinner time (6-8pm). The clothes dont need to be in the sun any longer than they absolutely need to or they will fade.
