How can I care for my skin and hair while working in a laboratory?

I work in a medical laboratory and am required to wear laboratory gear, including a hair net and surgical face mask, for the majority of my day. I've begun to notice that my hair has become more damaged due to the hair net resisting the air's moisture and causing breakage from general use, and that I have been more susceptible to break-outs from the mask. If anyone has dealt with a similar situation and has found a helpful method of combating this, I'd be grateful for any advice.
